A few months ago I was studying and making up flashcards for an ancient language that I'm studying, and I noticed that some verbs have both active and passive definitions for the same verb root, like the same verb can be both "defeat" and "be defeated."
I was like, "How the heck can that be?", but then like last month I came across someone using the verb "migrate" for websites, like you migrate content from one place to another, and that usage suddenly made a bit more sense, since that's like two senses in one word (someone moving, and someone moving something).
