Donovan's planning a university...

...because he wants to promote Transcendental Meditation in Scotland! David Lynch is chipping in and they're touring raising money right now. The Scotland university is going to be the UK equivalent of the American one in Fairfield, Iowa.

Good Lord. I have this one hour question and hour session on TM with David Lynch at some university, I think it was Duke. Disturbingly, I came away thinking TM probably did something good for David Lynch. But it didn't much change my opinion of TM as a whole.

I'm hoping to visit the TM university in Iowa this upcoming year. This girl I know is a townie from there. They call all the TM people "roos", as in "guRU (followers)". I guess there's this big meditation dome outside town where the TM people go every day to pray, but you have to be one of them to enter.

I need to make this trip happen. I might have to rent a car, but it'll happen. I shouldn't have said this, though, just left for the weekend and then come back and blogged about it.
