Addendum.

Very often when I leave the (Thai) restaurant late at night after the end of dinner shift, the sort-of-brutalist urban renewal building across the street has one light on, this very traditional living-room big-lamp-shade-type lamp, that you can see way up in the upper left corner of the building on like the fourth floor or whatever, in its chunky stacked-on-each other chunk floors that it has, between the sweeping gashes and off-angle pillars and continuous horizontal stripes of windows and all the stuff that comes together to make that urban renewal building the urban renewal building that it is.

And, it annoys me to no end, since the lamp just doesn't go with the building.

I mean, it should at least be mid-century modern.
