Rather, the other day I got a bugbite on the back of my right ankle while eating, and then a few days later I woke up with a bugbite on the underside of my right wrist, and a few days after that I was walking around the house and all of a sudden I noticed that I had a bugbite near the knuckle of my thumb.

fleas!!!
Leave a plate of water by a night light (or other light)on the floor. if you have little bugs in water next morning then you have fleas.
There's been nothing since then. A fluke?
