I start off each weekday morning translating Greek over breakfast, and lately since I finished off the Apostolic Fathers corpus, which I was getting bored with a little, esp. the fragments of Papias, since it's just small snippets of text and not one coherent extended one, I've been very excited to start reading the account of the martyrs of Vienne and Lyons preserved almost in full in Eusebius, and can't wait to read it the next day, and always translate for more than an hour, though I aim for like 45min so it doesn't interfere with my other work.
Except, I realized the other day that it's kind of fucked up, to be all excited to wake up and read about people being tortured in hideous ways over breakfast.
