A bit of fondness about the Romanian language.

Something that's really grown on me is how crazy it is that there's this group of people out in the Balkans calling themselves Romans this and Romans that like two thousand years after the empire had crumbled there, and actual Romans would be appalled at whatever their language had become, where there's this plural case marker that's "-lor" that must come from the Latin genitive plural "illorum," but you can use for the genitive *or* for the dative.

I honestly think Romans wouldn't know what the hell to make of it, it's just crazy.

I honestly think they could more understand something like Spanish that had lost all of the cases, than whatever the hell that thing is.

History can be pretty f*cking whack.
